The Collections feature allows merchants to efficiently handle and manage various types of payment collections. This functionality includes tools and methods for both online and offline payment processing.

Merchants can set up and manage collections through the following key components:

  1. Online Collection: This includes tools and widgets for processing payments directly through the merchant’s website or application. It provides options such as:

    • Checkout Link Widget: Allows merchants to create and share payment links with customers.

    • Hosted Checkout: A comprehensive solution for integrating payment collection seamlessly into a merchant’s website or application without requiring extensive customization.

  2. Offline Collection: Facilitates payment collection through traditional methods where internet access may not be available. Key features include:

    • Order Offline Reference: A unique identifier combining merchant and item references used for offline bill pay methods like Tigopesa, Airtel Money, and mPesa.

  3. Collection API: Coming Soon.

  4. Webhooks Events: Real-time notifications for various payment events related to collections, enabling merchants to stay updated on the status of transactions and respond accordingly.
